Leonel H. Herrerra, MD
Dr. Herrerra graduated from St. Louis University in 1976 with a degree in Physical Therapy. In 1985 he graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine in 1986 at Creighton University Hospital in Omaha. In 1989. He completed his Neurology training in the Creighton University-University of Nebraska Joint Residency program and started private practice in Sioux City Iowa at Sioux City Neurology.
In 1990 he opened Midwest Neurology and Rehabilitation Associates P.C. and continued this full time practice until 12/31/99. In June of 1999, Dr. Herrerra returned back to the military and served in the Army Reserves until March 2007 when he retired after 23 years of military duty.
In 1997 he joined Great West Casualty on a part time basis as a Medical Director and Advisor. On January 1, 2000, Dr. Herrerra started work at Great West Casualty on a full time basis and remains active in private practice on a part time office only basis.
Dr. Herrerra is a licensed physician in Iowa and Nebraska.
